Wwii From Beginning To End

Remember and honor our World War II heroes as you hear about the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan, to the surrender of the Japanese in Tokyo bay on the deck of the USS Missouri, ending WWII.

WWII From Beginning to End

Before you arrive for your Pearl Harbor Tour, your guide will provide a brief history of the surprise attack at the U.S. Naval Base. Arriving at the Arizona Memorial, your guide will turn you over to the National Park Rangers, who will show you a 23-minute historical film with authentic footage of the Pearl Harbor attack. From the theater you will be taken to the Arizona Memorial aboard a Navy shuttle. At the Arizona Memorial, visit the Shrine Room and reflect on the names of the 1,177 men resting aboard the sunken battleship below. And be sure to peer down at the actual battleship wreckage along with the "black tears of the Arizona," oil that still leaks from the vessel more than 70 years after its sinking.

Back at the Visitors Center, you will meet up with your guide and take time to browse through the fascinating museum exhibits and explore the gift shop where you can find Pearl Harbor books, memorabilia and souvenirs. From the grounds of the Visitor's Center, you can look across to Battleship Row and also see the USS Bowfin submarine, which is not far from the Visitors Center. The USS Missouri, located on Pearl Harbor's Ford Island, is also easy to see from here, and is the next stop on your journey.

After a trip on the public shuttle, a guide from the "Mighty Mo" will take you on a 40-minute tour back through history to the deck of the USS Missouri, where the Japanese surrendered in Tokyo Bay and a peace treaty ending WWII was signed. See the dent caused by a Kamikaze plane as it nearly destroyed this famous warship.

After spending time at these two magnificent Pearl Harbor museums, you and your guide will tour downtown Honolulu. Learn and view notable attractions such as the Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha Statue, and Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific.

Please Note: A photo ID for all guests 16 years of age or older is required to enter Pearl Harbor. Guests under 16 must have a copy of their birth certificate. We and our partners have no control over Pearl Harbor, the National Park or the Navy shuttle boats at the Arizona Memorial. Please be aware that long lines and delays occur frequently at the National Park, as the Arizona Memorial is operated on a first-come first-served basis each day. We are not able to offer any refunds if guests do not gain entry to the Arizona Memorial, movie, or other sights due to a large number of visitors on a given day or due to a weather shut down by the US Navy or other government agency. We thank you for your understanding. This is not a transfer tour. The tour does not drop off at the airport, and cannot accommodate luggage. During free time at Pearl Harbor, guests will be able to redeem a voucher for a light lunch. We recommend bringing additional funds to supplement your lunch. Your guide will give you more information on dining the day of the tour.
